About Jason Esman
I am an experienced senior managed service engineer with 20+ years of knowledge in operations and technology management. I am passionate about working to create efficient, scalable, and repeatable technology and support delivery models. I’ve been heavily involved in ITSM/ITIL providing leadership for the development and implementation of Change Management, Problem Management, and Incident Management.
I’ve used Linux since 1993, before using a MicroVax 3600 with vax.vms that later became OpenVMS. In my first professional job I was introduced to Solaris, and BSDi.
I am an advocate of personal privacy and personal security. Share what you want, but it should be a choice. It should also be easy to do and not a task to clean up.
Family is very important to me, I am married and have three wonderful children who are all in college. It is a good thing in my house to be considered a nerd. The discussions around the dinner table are always entertaining but would scare some people.
I have become addicted to working out. Having gone from almost 300 lbs and a 2 pack a day smoking habbit. Today I weigh 220 lbs and work out twice a day, don’t smoke. I do cardio in the morning and strength training in the evening. I had type 2 diabetes, high blood pressue, and severe sleep apnea. I have none of these issues today.
